Edenbrook are working with a rapidly growing specialty insurer on a Claims Adjuster opportunity.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage claims and regulatory requirements, escalating claims for strategy or reserving input and ensuring compliance with KPIs.
Deliver a customer-focused approach with quick service and clear communication with brokers and (re)insureds.
Provide quality narratives on key claims and developments, escalating them appropriately for management inclusion in monthly/quarterly reports.
Collaborate with underwriting, brokers, and the Actuarial/Outwards Reinsurance teams, sharing claims feedback and information on new developments.
Support business development by attending client meetings, presenting on relevant topics, and participating in conferences.
Contribute to achieving the Claims Business Plan's metrics, identify team improvements, and provide feedback to the Claims Manager.
Ensure customers are treated fairly, report complaints promptly, and flag conflicts of interest as needed.
Lead claims across all business classes, attend underwriting meetings, and build relationships with key stakeholders.
Assist the Claims Manager with ad hoc projects, offering innovative ideas to support team and business development.
The ideal candidate:
Lead strategy for complex/high-value claims and act as a point of contact for underwriters.
Analyse trends and segment the portfolio to identify profitable areas and those needing remedial action. Monitor and ensure compliance with KPIs.
Analyse data to enhance underwriting capabilities, working with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams to address key issues.
Assist underwriters in developing policy language and proposing wording amendments.
Consistently produce high-quality work, overcoming challenges efficiently and demonstrating strong organisational skills.
Take ownership of personal development, help others succeed, and promote inclusive behaviours.
Understand customer needs, act on feedback, and build relationships with underwriters, brokers, and legal providers.
Understand how claims actions impact overall company performance within the business plan.
Train junior team members, providing insights on specific claims and helping develop their skills.
Knowledge of Renewables claims preferred, but a background in Energy is required.
Achieve or work towards ACII accreditation.
