We are working with a rapidly growing Insurer for a Financial Accountant (6 Month FTC). Reporting into the assistant financial controller, this role is supporting the financial reporting’s and compliance activities across the wider European entities of the group. The key responsibilities include, but are not exclusive to: • Assist the Assistant European Controller in optimizing various aspects of Financial Control including Claims, Expenses, Cash, Balance Sheet substantiation, the preparation of reconciliations • Documentation of the relevant accounting processes to understand where financial controls exist to support the completeness and accuracy of internal and external reporting • Accelerate finance transformation projects currently underway to improve the existing, highly manual processes, to be fit for an insurer-of-the future and able to scale with exponential growth • Streamline processes using centralized data, leveraging automated workflows and suggesting steps to reconcile data by defining automated steps to enhance and transform data to arrive at the desired reconciliation format for analysis to provide timely insights with increased visibility • Design appropriate reports providing oversight over Accounts Payable, monitor working capital requirements and supplier ageing analysis The successful candidate will have: • 3 – 5 Years Post Qualified Experience (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, Etc.) • Strong experience within the insurance industry
