New opportunity as an Assistant Credit Controller, whereby the successful candidate will assist on credit control for both Open market and Binding Authority business working within the Finance team but liaising extensively with the Underwriting, Claims and Outwards Reinsurance functions, but the person will also be expected to assist generally across the Finance function; for the right person there is an opportunity to broaden the role and gain wider experience. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities • Assist with daily clearance of USM messages within the suspense account. • Review ‘follow up’ flagged USM messages on a quarterly basis. • Producing monthly open market overdue premium report and liaison with underwriters to chase brokers. • Assist with monthly completion of Binder & Lineslip monitoring reports highlighting overdue payments and/or bordereaux to underwriters • Assist with cash allocations • Producing Invoices and assist with LPANS • Quarterly check of Year of Accounts (system against USM) and settlement currencies. • Escalate issues to Financial Controller as appropriate. To be successful in this role, you will need to be/have: • Good communicator within Finance team but also with skills and ability to work closely and liaise with underwriting, claims and outwards reinsurance functions, and to be proactive in chasing for resolution of issues. • Excellent communication skills • Good A-Level results or degree • Excellent MS Excel skills
