We are currently partnering with a market leading, Life, Pensions and Investment company to recruit an Operational Resilience & Third-Party Risk Manager, where the individual will sit in Group Risk and Compliance team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, to ensure there is implementation of a robust risk management approach and effective control environment. Key responsibilities; • Advise senior management in relation to strategic planning and decision-making. • Independently oversee and challenge the Group’s strategic and business risk profiles and risk appetite assessments. • Provide a formal independent opinion in relation to significant risks. • Monitor and report on Group-wide risk exposures compared to risk appetite. • Undertake risk-based independent assurance. • Facilitate risk management activity by supporting risk related communication and management information flows across the Group. • Promote strong risk culture and behaviours across the Group. The ideal candidate should have but not limited to; • Solid understanding of key legislative and regulatory requirements. • Understanding of process, risk and control management and assessment techniques. • Understanding and application of the three lines framework, risk management framework, control risk self-assessment process. • Good understanding of how the management of operational resilience and third-party risk exposures relate to delivering good customer outcomes. • Experience within Insurance or wider Financial Services.
