We are partnering with a Global General Insurer to seek a Head of Finance Operations.
The purpose of this role is to lead the Finance Operations team and to deliver finance operations strategy, objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The role holder is responsible for the development and implementation of the overall operational management strategy including technology, people and processes. This is achieved by providing effective strategic operational direction, governance and oversight. This will include building and maintaining excellent internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers, ensuring feedback is sought and acted upon to continually improve the service provided
• Ensure the right subject matter experts are in place and attached to projects so they can provide input and challenge on changes that will have an impact on Finance Operations
• Ensure an effective Control Framework in place, takes ownership of any issues and gets them resolved
• Work with Finance Transformation to drive continuous improvement and automation of manual processes as well as contributing to wider Finance transformation initiatives for an improved future target operating model
• Recommend new and innovative solutions tailored to be market leading within Finance Operations
• Bring experience in target operating model and process design & development by using strong quantitative and qualitative skills to identify complex problems, consider them analytically and conceptualise solutions
The ideal candidate should have:
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with 10+ years’ experience
• Ability to run larger teams (including offshore resources) and work virtuallyUp-to-date knowledge and understanding of all relevant Compliance and Regulatory rules and procedures
• The ability to interpret and analyse complex data and financial information, and using this to make informed decisions
