Edenbrook are working with a leading independent insurance broker for a Finance Manager position. Reporting into the head of financial reporting, the successful candidate will have ownership of the statutory reporting’s for the group as supporting on the controls & process improvement. The key responsibilities for this role are: • Lead process to prepare and deliver UK GAAP monthly & annual reports for Ben Nevis Cleanco Limited Group accounts, working closely with FP&A team. • Drive a culture of continuous improvements in the reporting process to improve efficiency and automation. • Manage closing process to ensure timely and accurate information including production of a reconciled trial balance. • Plan and co-ordinate external audits to facilitate delivery in line with agreed timetable and budget. Year-end planning in liaison with the auditors, tax team and any other key stakeholders in the finalisation of the various accounts. • Leading, managing, motivating and developing the skills, competencies and knowledge of direct reports. Manage the performance of direct reports ensuring staff have clear objectives, regular PDRs and receive feedback on performance • Preparation of any required financial reports and analyses in support of reporting to the Board and other stakeholders, including variance analysis. The ideal candidate is: • A Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, Etc) • Financial Services reporting in a practice firm
