New Opportunity as a Change Portfolio Manager within one of the leading legacy acquirers in the market, whereby you will manage a portfolio of projects or transitions with a focus on delivery, outcomes, and benefits. You will role model the values of the company, working across organisational boundaries with ease, building strong relations with project sponsors and senior leaders across the business, all whilst fostering a culture of high performance and delivery within the Change Team. As part of the Change Leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping future projects within all aspects of the delivery lifecycle. You will lead and grow a team of Project and Implementation managers that are utilised across both portfolio acquisitions and business change projects - providing coaching, mentoring and leadership to cultivate performance to an impeccable standard.
Key responsibilities & Accountabilities:
• Leading and developing a team of Project and Implementation managers – providing coaching and leadership to enable successful delivery of projects.
• Supporting the continued development of change and project capability to deliver against business objectives.
• Creating a consistent and effective approach to project portfolio management in line with overall change governance.
• Management and delivery of projects and transitions – particularly high profile and/or complex projects.
• Managing all interdependencies between projects and allocating resources to support prioritised opportunities.
• Monitoring the quality of project outputs to ensure strategic objectives are met.
• Establishing effective working relationships with all stakeholders and ensuring effective portfolio communication.
• Creating a process of continuous improvement within project delivery – ensuring we adapt to support business needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be/have:
• Experience in managing teams of Project and Delivery managers - leading and coaching to build a high performing team to enable delivery through others.
• Experience of successfully applying project methodology and tools in a variety of practical situations, adapting style and method where required.
• Project management skills and experience, preferably supported by formal qualifications such as Prince 2, Agile, and, MSP
• Experience in implementing and embedding agile methods
• Experience in business analysis and strategic planning, including requirements definition and business case production.
