Edenbrook are currently recruiting an Senior Analyst, Balance Sheet Control. The chosen candidate will sit within the Finance team, specifically the Financial Control & Assurance team.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Directly support the Associate Director, Financial Control and Assurance
• Develop group and solo legal entity balance sheet assurance and control processes
• Prepare group and solo entity balance sheet analysis, to contribute to the aforementioned reporting to parent
• Monitor and report on balance sheet reconciliation status across the group
• Provide balance sheet assurance for Group and defined material Subsidiaries, including production of legal entity control matrix for the monthly finance management
• Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, inter-company, cost allocations, and other balance sheet accounts where necessary
• Work with tax team to ensure group tax position fully reconciled and substantiated. Identify areas for process improvements where appropriate
The ideal candidate should have:
• General ledger system experience (preferably SUN)
• Reporting tool experience preferable
• Balance sheet reconciliation tool experience preferable
• Moderate to advanced Excel skills, as well as other Microsoft applications
• Strong analytical and data literacy skills, comfortable analysing large volumes of complex data from multiple systems
• Fully qualified accountant (preferably ACA or ACCA)
• IFRS experience and exposure
• Insurance background desirable
