Associate Legal Counsel (6 month-FTC) opportunity working with a top performing specialty insurer. You will provide legal and risk management advice, support and services on a wide variety of complex legal issues. Key Responsibilities: Strategy and Planning: Contributes to, monitors and advises on the plan developments and changes. Assists in the preparation and implementation of the operational team plans. Determines own work priorities and activities in line with agreed plans. Policy, Process and Procedures: Comply with all material legal and regulatory requirements. Adhere to relevant Legal standards and good practice. Meet all internal local and/or global internal reporting requirements. Technical Performance: Negotiation, drafting and interpretation in relation to a wide range of commercial contracts. Support corporate governance including through assistance with Board meeting preparation, drafting resolutions, assisting with filings as required. Support compliance function where Legal advice and assistance required. Skills and Experience: Experience of providing commercial legal support to regulated financial services companies (insurance preferred). Understanding of regulatory/statutory frameworks and how they impact on the insurance sectors. Law Degree level education (2:1 or higher).
